We don’t charge extra for home collections or for collecting ashes for you, only for out of hours (nights and weekends) collections. We dropped our price and now offer viewing in the chapel of rest as an option extra rather than including it and having a higher price for everyone.
You might ask why are we able to offer the same service at this price? We don’t have shareholders to please and we aren’t chasing growth every quarter. Our priority is to be able to offer our community a quality and professional service at a competitive price, especially with the ongoing cost of living crisis effecting everyone.
Secondly we are a local business, local people and all the care is carried out locally, we don’t send your loved one across the country to a faraway crematorium. They are looked after right here from the moment we bring them into our care until the cremation takes place at one of the local crematoria.

What does a Direct Cremation involve?
A ‘direct’ or ‘unattended’ cremation service is an increasingly popular choice for people who want to do things with more flexibility or avoid paying for a lot of extra things that you may not feel are needed.
The arrangement meeting with us will involve completion of the required forms and discussing any additional requests and detail any additional fees that may be payable, such as doctors fees or out of hours/home collection fees.
Payment for this service is required ahead of the funeral, usually at the arrangement meeting.
Prices start at £1195 which includes everything needed. A simple coffin, the cremation fee, bringing someone into our care from a hospital or nursing home during working hours.
Additional costs may include:
Bringing the person into our care out of hours - £185
Dressing the person in their own clothes and visiting the person in our chapel of rest - £200
We also offer space for small ceremonies for up to 20 attendees at our Chapel
In addition to a direct cremation we also offer the option of having a small gathering at our premises, usually the day before the cremation is due to take place.
Doing so we can provide a full funeral service for a small group without the costs of transportation or the crematorium fees. It also allows flexibilty with times and dates as you are not limited to slots at the Crematorium or normal working hours.
